about

The Units are back!... well sort of.

Major Bulge is back and going solo this time around.

The past 10 years have not been good to the Units. Ever since their last album "Cunt Ring" bombed at retail, and the subsequent tour was canceled they haven't spoken to each other since.

The release of their break out hit "Units on Parade" was short lived. After a brief tour in the states, the band had a falling out. Lord Unit had been continually struggling with substance abuse, and many performances ended prematurely because of it. During a show in London Lord Unit blacked out and urinated in the sound hole of Major Bulge's acoustic guitar while he was playing it, and the two were nearly killed from electric shock.

After their release from the hospital, Lord Unit exiled to Las Vegas, pimping hoes, and attending the occasional open mic night. Major Bulge went to the mountains of Colorado to search for enlightenment.

During this time, the Units album sales remained steady, with the occasional appearance here and there, and a few side projects. Lord Unit had used a different stage name "Juan Gonzales" and tried to throw his hat into the ring of nude bass
playing. However, this was not met with much enthusiasm at all. While Major Bulge was "finding himself" in the remote mountains of Colorado, he did not play much guitar other than dropping by various church youth groups, and being asked to play some of the groups former hits such as "Sit on my Face."

In 2009, Major Bulge settled down near the small town of Nowhere, CO. There he built a his home studio, and began to write again. This album is the result of what transpired... nothing less then magical rhythms, and rhymes, that will stand the test of time!

In early 2011, Major Bulge contacted Lord Unit, and the two made amends. They played a reunion show in Las Vegas in April of 2011. Since that time, the Units have decided to release a Major Bulge solo album as a new start back onto the music scene. They have since started to collaborate and record together again. They plan to release a brand new full length album slated for 2012.

The Units hope you enjoy this little album, and look forward to bringing their soulful music back into the hearts and minds of their fans once again!
